Lion Containers created a bespoke pop up bar and viewing platform for a leading UK events company, helping them bring festival experiences to life. This innovative pop up bar conversion was built to travel, offering a durable and functional solution for festivals across the UK.

This project marked the client’s third order with Lion Containers, showing the trust and satisfaction built over previous successful collaborations. The brief called for three modular, stackable containers. These would serve as a fully operational pop up bar and viewing platform for the summer events schedule.

Customised 10ft Pop Up Bar and 40ft Container

The 10ft container became a dedicated pop up bar unit, adjacent to a 40ft container. It featured double doors at one end, a side personnel door, fitted counters, and a drop-down accessible service bar. Hygienic food-safe Sani-Clad lining covered the interior. Full electrics and LED lighting created a functional, inviting space for both staff and festival-goers.

40ft Container with Viewing Deck

Lion Containers fitted the 40ft container with three manual roller shutters, double doors, and personnel access. On top, Lion installed a bespoke platform with anti-slip surface for guests to enjoy live performances while using the pop up bar.

Upper 20ft Container and Stair Access

Above this, a 20ft container featured a 16ft electric shutter and an 8ft manual shutter. A custom-built staircase linked the ground level to the upper container. The staircase is designed to adapt to uneven ground levels at different venues. This design gave guests direct access to the elevated pop up bar.

All units received a RAL 5026 paint finish, creating a bold exterior that stands out in any festival or pop up bar setting. Because of the stacked design and roller shutters, structural engineers reviewed and approved the final drawings to ensure the setup met all safety requirements.

The containers were arranged in an L-shape on-site. Lion Containers oversaw delivery, while the client completed the physical setup. The team finished the build within the agreed 12-week timeframe. The client loved the pop up bar’s quality, finish, and functionality.
