Timber Container Cladding

Lion Containers Ltd offer an extensive range of products and services in order to meet with your container requirements. Sometimes the industrial look of a container just does not fit into the environmental surroundings, no matter what colour the container is. We have solved this issue in the past with the help of timber cladding.

With a self-supporting timber baton frame we can ensure that the container walls won’t be perforated in the process, in order to uphold the wind and water tight nature of the container. Whilst we do have our “standard” cladding product we have deviated from this in both qualities of wood and configuration to meet the specification of our customers. With the trend of fitting in on your site, we can also offer a bespoke painting service, and/or can also  supply and fit any company logos or decals required. Whatever the required external finish, we are happy to help.

Container Cladding Example | University Campus Travel Hub

We converted a 40ft shipping container into a bus travel hub for a university campus. The university had a strong environmental and recycling policy, and they wanted their travel hub to reflect this. So, we installed a timber baton frame externally, and partially clad the container in 150mm x 25mm tanalised timber cladding (rough sawn). Read more…

Container Cladding Example | Television Broadcast Studio

We built  a bespoke television broadcasting studio for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. The external finish of the container had to match other buildings within the vicinity in order to achieve planning permission. Therefore, a strict specification was provided, and adhered to with the units being clad in tantalised timber with a 10mm spacing. Removable cladded panels were fitted over the cargo doors of the lower containers in order to achieve easy access for loading and un-loading of heavy items within the ground floor storage area. Read more…
