Container Case Study

What Problem Did the Client Face?

A returning client, an established engineering company, required a tunnel container to safely store fuel cell equipment. The equipment generated heat and required efficient airflow system, so the storage unit needed high and low ventilation. The client also needed:

  • Two separate spaces within one container.
  • Easy access from both ends.
  • Gas-tight partitioning to isolate areas safely.
  • Quick build and delivery to meet project timelines.

This was the client’s second project with Lion Containers, following a successful previous collaboration.

How Did Lion Containers Provide the Solution?

  • Installed a gas-tight steel partition dividing the unit into two secure sections.
  • Added seven vents, positioned high and low, to ensure consistent air circulation and meet ventilation standards for fuel cell storage.

  Access & Safety Features

  • Fitted standard lock boxes for security.
  • Integrated recessed power inlet and transit plate for easy electrical connection and equipment setup.

  Finish & Build Time

  • Painted in RAL 7047, offering a sleek and professional finish.
  • Built and completed in just three weeks, then delivered safely to Chippenham.

What Results Did the Client Achieve?

  • The client received a durable, ventilated tunnel container tailored for fuel cell equipment.
  • The dual-entry design improved workflow and equipment handling.
  • The ventilation system ensured safe and efficient storage conditions.
