Shipping Container Delivery

We often get asked how shipping containers are delivered.  Here at Lion Containers, safety is our priority, we reflect this in everything we do from the delivery of our containers to the PPE worn by our appointed persons when on site.  Below, we describe the delivery process of shipping containers in order to give you a little more information, if you do have any queries, please do not be put off, our hi-ab drivers are quite amazing with their skill, Contact Lion Containers and we will assess your site for you either via images or in person.

Containers are delivered using a hi-ab or craned vehicle, in order to deliver a container, the vehicle has to be able to pull up parallel to where the container needs to be delivered so that the container can then be lifted using the trucks crane via chains and positioned as required.

Shipping Container Delivery Times

Deliveries usually take place between 7am-8pm, Monday to Friday, however, Lion Containers strive to meet your deadlines and requirements in the case of timed deliveries to be as flexible and accommodating to you as possible.

Container deliveries include 30 minutes on site for the driver to lift and position your unit. As a rule, the delivery drivers cannot drive over grass or muddy areas. If this is the case for your delivery, we can arrange a site visit to ensure minimum disruption and maximum success.

Shipping Container Delivery and Site Safety

Site safety and the smooth running of shipping container deliveries for larger orders of containers is paramount to Lion Containers.  We are therefore able to provide an appointed container expert to arrive on site for the first day of your deliveries to orchestrate the logistical aspect of the delivery and ensure safe, efficient and unproblematic delivery.
