The final specification for this container was decided as a 30ft new (once shipped) cut down high cube container with bespoke full side access double doors and no cargo doors. Internal lining and insulation, fitted electrics, bespoke finger shelving and external paintwork to RAL5005 were added. The specification was sent to our fabrications team for quoting and final costings released to the customer 5 days later.
In January 2018 we were approached by a well intervention specialist company, for the supply of a 30ft container with full side opening doors. Our client needed the container of storage of 6m long downhole tools for an oil well. The tools needed to be stored on multiple layers of bespoke finger racking to maximise the use of the space within the container. Due to the value and nature of the equipment, the unit needed to be clean, dry and secure.
DAYS IN TOTAL
A workbench was custom fabricated with box section steel, and lined with veneered timber wood. The dimensions of this were L 19ft 3ins x D 2ft 3ins x H 2ft 7ins.
A short while later, we received the purchase order so drawings could be finalised and work could begin. We attended our fabrications depot to review the completed work and obtain photographs for the customer to see the units which would be arriving at his site in Aberdeen the following week. ?
