Container Case Study
Lion Containers recently delivered DNV containers for a customer in the offshore industry. A DNV container is a special type of container made to withstand the harsh weather conditions offshore at sea. Lion delivered the DNV containers according to the specifications the client provided.
The customer required 3 x 10ft bespoke 2.7-1 certified DNV containers. Lion modified two of those containers to have a side opening, and one of them into a tunnel container with doors on both ends. Lion then sprayed them with the customer’s choice of colour: RAL 9003. An external supplier printed the company’s logo on the DNV containers.
The customer did not request any internal modifications, making it a straightforward project that Lion completed in under 8 weeks. The customer expressed satisfaction with the quality of the DNV containers.
DNV stands for Det Norske Veritas, a global organization set up to protect life at sea. DNV sets the regulations that govern these containers, ensuring compliance with industry standards. There are three main categories of DNV containers: Offshore Freight Container, Offshore Service Container, and Offshore Waste Skip.
