World Champion Boat Racing Team Container Workshop Case Study
Our client, a world champion boat racing team, contacted us regarding a container workshop they required. A 40ft new high cube tunnel container was used for the build, and is is being used to carry out any boat repairs, or adjustments that need to be made.
We prepared, masked and painted the container with white self-priming specialised container paint, both internally and externally. The container walls and cargo doors were lined with 9mm white faced MFC, and the roof was lined with 3mm white faced MFC. This was laid over 50mm Cavity slab on top of a timber stud frame. A personnel door was fitted with a tie back to avoid the door slamming.
Paintwork was blown in with self-priming specialised container paint for a flawless finish, and a lockbox was fitted.
Our client required a worktop, a cabinet and shelving throughout. We custom fabricated a worktop and lined with 40mm thick plywood. Our client supplied a number of cabinets which we fitted, and we fabricated bespoke shelving using 25mm thick marine plywood. 2 x 4' twin anti-corrosive light fittings and switches were supplied and installed above the cabinet, and 5 x European double sockets were supplied and installed above the worktop.
The container build was turned around very quickly in just 4 weeks, and was delivered successfully using a 40ft crane lorry.
